Oneida Nation Names Employees of the Month -11/14/08

Four members of the Oneida Indian Nation’s workforce were chosen as Employees of the Month for November. They are: David Ahearn of New Hartford, a food server at Turning Stone Resort and Casino; Linda Scholl of Verona, a food & beverage server at Turning Stone Resort and Casino; Robert Tucker, a sales representative for Indian Country Today; and Julia Zimbal, a baker at Turning Stone Resort and Casino.

The honorees each receive a $50 gift voucher to Turning Stone restaurants, shops, spa/salon or golf; a $50 gift voucher to the SāvOn enterprises; an entertainment VIP pass for up to four tickets to a public event or performance in the Showroom or two tickets to the Event Center; a personalized parking space, depending on the enterprise, for one month; recognition on the Employee of the Month and Year plaques; and eligibility for the Employee of the Year award.

The following year, the Oneida Indian Nation chose to take up the cause of their friends, the colonists, and fight as their first ally during the American Revolution.
