Other GP&S departments include:

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Located at the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center, 5000 Skenondoa Way, Oneida. Includes the Oneida Language program, Library, GED/EDP classes and Scholarship program.

EARLY LEARNING CENTER (ELC) Located at the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center, 5000 Skenondoa Way. Provides day care services to children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES and PATHWAYS CASE MANAGEMENT Individual, family, and youth counseling services at the office located on Route 46/West Road, Oneida. Satellite office located in Syracuse.

COMMUNITY SERVICES and ELDERS PROGRAM is located at the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center. Daily meal program, and trips and other activities. See also: Elders Lunch Menu Also: Elders Program

HEALTH DEPARTMENT Located at 2 Territory Road. Medical and dental services,community health programs, business office and administration.

RECREATION CENTER/GYMNASIUM Located on Nation Homelands,Territory Road. Adult and youth activities, Fitness Center and personal fitness trainers on-site; pool open May-September.

All GP&S calendar activities are open to Nation Members and registered Health Center clients, unless otherwise stated. The calendar is published monthly. Please direct calendar questions to the appropriate department.

    The Fourth of July marks the day the colonists declared their independence from England in 1776. The following year, the Oneida Indian Nation chose to take up the cause of their friends, the colonists, and fight as their first ally during the American Revolution. Oneida warriors fought on the side of the colonists at the important Battles of Oriskany and Saratoga in New York State, as well as the skirmish at Barren Hill in Pennsylvania. Read more »
