Provides a variety of medical and dental services to Oneida Members and other American Indians from federally-recognized tribes living in the six-county service area: Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, and Onondaga counties. Services by appointment are preferred. Clients who need specialty care that cannot be provided at the Health Department will be referred to the nearest, most appropriate provider.

Behavioral Health Services and Pathways Case Management

The main office is located at 55 Territory Road, Oneida, in the former bingo hall. Hours are: Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Tues/Thurs 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Phone: (315) 829-8760 or 1-800-685-6115. Pathways Case Management phone is (315) 829-8768. Office hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. A satellite office is located in the Syracuse Northeast Community Center, 716 Hawley Avenue, Syracuse. The programs offered by Behavioral Health Services and Pathways Case Management are open to registered Health Center clients of all ages. Services include individual, couples, family and group counseling for mental health issues; and assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning and ongoing psychotherapy.

The initial intake is conducted by the Behavioral Health Services program manager, then an appointment is given and a counselor is assisgned. Behavioral Health Services also offers specialized therapies including Auricular Acupuncture, Guided Imagery and Art Therapy.

  • Kuhl Highlights Oneida Women in History at DFAS Lunch Event

    Kathy Kuhl, Oneida Nation’s Central New York Indian Outreach Coordinator, was a recent guest speaker at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service’s (DFAS) Women’s History Month ‘Lunch-and-Learn’ event. Kuhl told of the rich history and accomplishments of Oneida women. Her talk told of Sky Woman, the Three Sisters, Two Kettles, Polly Cooper, Mary Winder and the many Oneida women who have served and are currently serving this country as members of the armed forces. Her talk focused on the accomplishments of these and other Oneida women in history and she shared with the group information about the role of women in Oneida culture, a matrilineal society.
