Behavioral Health Services Department
Behavioral Health Services and Pathways Case Management
The programs offered by Behavioral Health Services and Pathways Case Management are open to registered Health Center clients of all ages. Services include individual, couples, family, and group counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues; and assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy. Behavioral Health Services staff also make referrals to other agencies, provide advocacy for clients, and participate with other Oneida Nation departments in community education programs. The initial intake is conducted by the Behavioral Health Services program manager. Then an appointment is given and a counselor is assigned to the individual or family. Behavioral Health also offers specialized therapies including Auricular Acupuncture, Guided Imagery, and Art Therapy. On-site psychiatrists prescribe for and provide ongoing monitoring of clients who require psychotropic medications.
