Nearly 100 Nation employees took to the golf courses — the same ones graced by PGA professionals and recognized by Golfweek Magazine among the 15 best in the State of New York on its “Best Golf Courses You Can Play in Every State” list.
During the recent Employee Golf Tournament held at Shenendoah and Kaluhyat selfies were taken, a few birdies were made and several golf balls were lost. The Pink Ball Challenge and Beat the Pro contests sparked friendly competition and teamwork. Of the employees who attempted to out drive the pro only 14 succeeded, including Justin Redivivo (Nightlife) and PJ George (Facilities).
Each team received a pink ball, which had to be used on each hole and by all teammates. If it was returned at the end of play, the team was entered to win a prize. Only two teams, out of 24, came back with the pink ball, but everyone came back with a few new golf stories.
