More than 50 attendees came out to gather information on one of those momentous rites of passage: college.

University and college representatives were on hand to offer guidance to prospective students of every ilk. LeMoyne and Ithaca colleges and Colgate and Cornell universities were among the 18 institutions that participated at the Nation’s annual College Night at the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center.

Vernon-Verona-Sherrill senior Chelsea Jocko (Wolf Clan) is weighing her options for next year. Undecided on her career goal, Chelsea does have a strong sense of what she would like to study in college.

“I was interested to talk to the people from Buffalo State because they have a Native American and indigenous studies program,“ said Chelsea. “And they also have Native Ameircan students attending. I just want to learn as much as I can about what’s available to me.”
