This event honors people in the Oneida Nation and local communities who make a positive difference for themselves and others by maintaining healthy lifestyles. Austin won the youth award. Good deeds do not go unnoticed, just ask the 2011 Oneida Indian Nation Wellness Champions, honored this past week during a dinner at the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center.
The seventh annual event honors people in the Oneida Nation and local communities who make a positive difference for themselves and others by maintaining healthy lifestyles. Award winners serve as positive role models and encourage others to improve or maintain their health.
