Quarterly Check Presented to Verona FD

$1.1 M Received from Nation Since 1993

Chuck Fougnier, Wolf Representative on the Oneida Nation Council, and Terry Winslow (left), public safety commissioner for the Oneida Nation presented a quarterly check of $25,000 to Fire District Commissioner Bob Deep (right) at the Verona Fire Department. Since 1993, Verona Fire District (VFD) has received more than $1.1 million from the Nation. Under the service agreement, VFD provides fire protection and rescue services to Turning Stone Resort and other Nation properties in the district in conjunction with the Oneida Nation’s Public Safety Department.
