Lava Danceclub Signs the Disco Fries as DJs-in-Residence
Electronic Dance Music Duo to Appear Monthly at Turning Stone
Lava Danceclub at Turning Stone Resort Casino has signed internationally-known electronic dance music duo the Disco Fries to a one-year DJs-in-residence deal. The monthly appearances at Lava add to the Disco Fries’ residency commitment at all of Palms Las Vegas Casino Resort’s venues including Rain, Moon, and Ghostbar.
Danny Danger and Nick Ditri of the Disco Fries have gained a global following since joining forces in 2008 at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Their first official single, “Killer”, led to requests for remixes from some of the biggest names in dance music including Flo Rida, Katy Perry, and Britney Spears. The Disco Fries remix of Far East Movement’s “Like a G6” has racked up millions of views on YouTube. Nick and Danny also added their signature sound to this year’s hit comedy movie “American Reunion.”
Upon signing the DJs-in-residence deal with Lava, Danny Danger said, "Every time we play Lava, I'm blown away by everyone's passion and enthusiasm for the music. We love to feed off that kind of energy and it always brings out the best in our sets.”
Nick Ditri added, “Lava is moving the entire definition of resort nightclubs forward with their approach to entertainment. It’s refreshing to be a part of Turning Stone Resort and help create this type of evolving environment where the nights seem limitless and the party is always absolutely insane.”
Lava Operations Manager Jerry Marrello said signing the Disco Fries puts Turning Stone Resort Casino and Lava Danceclub out front on the electronic dance music map. Marrello added that the Disco Fries fusion of Top 40 and dance music is changing the nightclub scene.
“It’s something beyond visual,” Marrello said. “It’s emotional, just mind-blowing. It’s an experience where the DJ controls your emotions from a buildup to a massive release. They’ve developed something so creative. The way the energy and music flow together, it’s seamless.”
The Disco Fries first three monthly dates at Lava in the one-year DJs-in-residence deal are set for June 9, July 7, and August 18 with future dates to be announced. Learn more about the Disco Fries at www.discofriesmusic.com
