Major Japanese Newspaper Reports On Nation Animation
On Nov. 16, three million people in Japan had an opportunity to read about “Raccoon & Crawfish,” the Oneida Nation’s first animated short. “Raccoon & Crawfish,” an ancient Oneida legend brought to life through 3D animation, was featured in The Nikkei, a national newspaper in Japan. The eight-minute short was produced by the Nation’s Four Directions Productions, a 3D animation/HD cinematography studio. Since its debut in April 2007, “Raccoon & Crawfish” has won 17 film festivals around the world, as well as being screened at the renowned Cannes Film Festival in France in May.
