AP Story Highlights Oneida Nation Float in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®
The Associated Press released a story Nov. 25 about the Oneida Nation float in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. That story was picked up by many media outlets around the country. The float, the True Spirit of Thanksgiving, showcases the Nation’s representation of the creation story, and is the first American Indian float in a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The Parade steps off on Thurs., Nov. 27, 2008 and will air live nationally on NBC-TV, from 9am to 12pm in all time zones. For those watching the parade on TV, the Oneida float will be seen by viewers at approximately 11:15 am.
