Turning Stone Golf Courses Preserve Audubon International Status

The Shenendoah, Kaluhyat and Sandstone Hollow golf courses at the Oneida Indian Nation’s Turning Stone Resort have been officially recertified as Signature Sanctuaries by Audubon International.

All three courses were designed, constructed and are carefully maintained to ensure that existing wetlands, native plant life, and wildlife habitats remain undisturbed. A diverse population of wildlife, including deer, foxes and nearly 100 species of birds reside there.

Turning Stone’s grounds maintenance staff developed a natural resource management plan, and are required to submit periodic reports to ensure continued compliance. Audubon International also sends representatives for on-site visits.
