Story on ABC.Com puts Turning Stone Courses on Top Eco-Friendly List

In an interview for ABC News.Com, USA Today Reporter Tim Smight talked with Golf Magazine’s Travel Editor Joe Passov about the best environmentally-friendly golf resorts in the United States. The courses at the Oneida Indian Nation’s Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Central New York made top ten. Turning Stone, the only resort on the list in the Northern half of the country, was joined on the list other top golf resorts, like Pebble Hill (CA), Kiwah Island (CA) and Pinehurst (NC). In the article, Passov said, “The Oneida Indian Nation, which built and owns Turning Stone—has long been known for treating its ancestral lands with utmost care and respect. The resorts five beautiful golf courses all embody this commitment to protect the environment.”
