The Lodge at Turning Stone Named “Most Excellent Golf Resort”

The Lodge at Turning Stone Resort has been named “Most Excellent Golf Resort” in the U.S.A. and Canada by the luxury international travel guide, Condé Nast Johansens. The honor is included in the publication’s recently-announced “2010 Awards for Excellence,” which are determined by votes from readers, hotel guests and Condé Nast inspection teams. Turning Stone’s elegant, all-suite hotel received a similar award in 2007.

“The Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence are made annually to those properties worldwide that represent the finest standards and best value for money in luxury and independent accommodation,” according to its Web site.

The Lodge at Turning Stone has compiled a long list of high-profile distinctions since it opened in 2004. Both The Lodge and its gourmet restaurant Wildflowers have earned Four-Diamond ratings from the American Automobile Association (AAA). In addition, The Lodge was named one of “Best Luxury Hotels” by Lodging Hospitality Magazine and was awarded the “Hospitality Design Award” by Hospitality Design Magazine, “Connoisseur’s Choice” by Resorts & Great Hotels, a “Contract Interior Award” from Contract Magazine and “Sexiest Casino” by Native American Casino Magazine.

The Turning Stone Resort complex features five golf courses, including Atunyote Golf Club which is home of the PGA TOUR’s Turning Stone Resort Championship. Guest amenities also include Skaná Spa, 21 dining options, The Lava Danceclub , The Sportesplex housing tennis and racquetball courts and an indoor golf training center, live entertainment, gaming, shops and meeting space.
