The Shenendoah Golf Club at Turning Stone Resort has been named by Golf Digest to its list of “America’s Top 50 Courses for Women.”
In compiling its roster of elite courses, Golf Digest considers nominations and course evaluations submitted by a panel of more than 100 female raters. Courses are awarded for a “female friendly design, amenities, courteous staff, programs, and an atmosphere that appeals to women,” according to the magazine. “America’s Top 50 Courses for Women” is outlined in Golf Digest’s March issue as well online at golfdigest.com In addition to Shenendoah, the list includes Kingsmill Resort & Spa (Plantation), The Greenbrier (Old White), Kiawah Island (Osprey Point), Pinehurst Resort (No. 8) and Namacolin Woodlands Resort (Mystic Rock). Shenendoah, designed by Rick Smith, has five tee options ranging from 5,185 yards to 7,129 yards.
