Extras Casting Director Rich King speaks to one of the many groups of people seeking to work on the film Big Turn Out for “First Allies” Casting Call
A casting call was held at Turning Stone Resort Casino on July 25, to search for extras for “First Allies,” a full length theatrical film financially-backed by the Oneida Indian Nation. The film, which focuses on the Oneidas’ involvement as the first ally of the colonists in their fight for freedom during the American Revolution, is looking for talent to fill roles as Native Americans, colonists and British troops, as well as behind-the-scenes positions, such as production assistants. The first casting call drew nearly 1,400 applicants from Upstate New York and beyond.
The extras casting director for “First Allies” is Rich King, a Los Angeles-based professional who has cast extras for many films and TV productions for more than two decades, including Cowboys and Aliens, Disney’s Prom, Charlie Wilson’s War, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Forrest Gump.
