Turning Stone Resort Casino team member Alisia Uryniak calls herself a performer ready for the spotlight. The 2011 Turning Stone employee talent show winner opened for the legendary “vintage” rock ‘n’ roll group Sha Na Na on Friday, Feb. 3.
Alisia lives in Chittenango and has worked at Turning Stone for 8 years, currently as an aesthetician at the Ahsi Day Spa & Salon. Her powerful singing won over an audience of her peers at the employee talent show last year and earned her the chance to open for Sha Na Na in the Turning Stone Showroom. Even though Alisia wasn’t even born yet when Sha Na Na was at its height of popularity, the band played a big part in her early life. “My favorite movie of all time is Grease, and Sha Na Na played the high school band in the movie.
