Gingerbread Village Popular Holiday Attraction

Visitors to the Oneida Nation’s Turning Stone Resort Casino have a chance to see what is likely the biggest gingerbread village in the Northeast. The eight buildings of this year’s gingerbread village measure about 53 feet long and are made up of 13,000 individual pieces of gingerbread. This holiday delight, with a new archway entrance, is now ready for viewing and will remain on display through the holidays. The public can visit this year’s masterpiece anytime, day or night, in the Garden Lobby near Opals II. Cameras are welcome.

Chefs from Turning Stone this season are also conducting demonstrations on weekends of various holiday fare through Dec 25. Saturday, Dec 17 at 2 p.m. visitors to the resort will see how to build their own gingerbread house and the following day at 3 p.m. chefs will show how to decorate a gingerbread man.

Turning Stone Resort Casino is in its holiday form with about 500,000 LED lights and more than one million ornaments and decorations throughout the resort property, plus there are strolling carolers to add to the holiday mood.
