Moonen Honored with Oneida Nation’s Quarterly Leadership AwardRob Moonen of Verona has received the Oneida Indian Nation’s Quarterly Leadership Award for the first quarter of 2010. He was honored for his leadership in facility-related projects at Turning Stone Resort and Casino—particularly the recent fourth floor renovations at the casino hotel. Moonen started his career at Turning Stone in 1999 as a HVAC technician. He was promoted to senior supervisor in 2002 and to facilities manager in 2007. He attended Lyndon State College and Mohawk Valley Community College, receiving an AOS degree in heating and air conditioning. Prior to joining Turning Stone, he worked for Oneida Limited Silversmiths for 17 years and later worked two years for Scharf Plumbing. The Quarterly Leadership awards recognize those who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and foster productive, creative and customer-oriented service among their coworkers.
