Agreement Allows City Firefighters to Train at Nation-Owned Building
For the past couple of weeks, firefighters from the city of Oneida have been engaged in training exercises at a vacant building on Elizabeth Street owned by the Oneida Indian Nation and slated for demolition.
The critical training is possible because of the cooperation between the two governments, allowing the city’s fire department to train in a safe environment. The Nation has reached similar agreements with other local fire departments, including Durhamville.
