Oneida Legends Entertain and Educate Youngsters at School Harvest Festival
Storyteller Birdy Burdick and Kandice Watson, educational outreach director, recently brought the story of the Oneida Indian Nation to students at Poland Central in Herkimer County.
The two Oneida Nation members were there recently for that schools’ Harvest Festival. They helped the students learn about the rich history and culture of the Oneida People through telling legends that Oneida children have heard from their elders for centuries.
