Oneida Nation Police Host Joint Law Enforcement Training Session

The Oneida Nation Police Department, in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) hosted two days of instruction for tribal and local law enforcement agencies.

The first day of the session focused on investigative techniques utilizing digital photography, with hands-on exercises using state-of-the-art equipment. Day two was an intensive classroom seminar on issues related to gang violence.

In addition to Oneida Nation police officers, representatives of several area municipal police departments participated.

The FLETC serves as an interagency law enforcement training organization for 90 federal agencies, providing services to state, local, tribal and international law enforcement organizations.
