Statement From Nation Representative Ray Halbritter - 3/4/09

“Oneida County has demonstrated the strength of leadership necessary to resolve our differences. It would be easier for the parties to avoid leadership responsibility by dodging the issues once again and instead hiring attorneys to complain to the courts for the courts to resolve them rather than our community. In these challenging economic times, mutual compromises and mutual agreements call for special cooperation. As we have all witnessed for more than 35 years, litigation, politics and obstructionism have run its course with no agreements reached. It is time to resolve our differences and move forward. We are encouraged to be on a course toward doing so. We hope to be able to enter into a comprehensive agreement with the State and County in the near future.”
