LAVA’s Unique Entertainment Returns January 22 - 1/13/10

LAVA, the Dance Club at Turning Stone, in a little over two years has become one of the trendiest clubs in the country.  Rick Gallagher, director of entertainment and events at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, says that LAVA is the most exciting night club in the United States. “No one is presenting the entertainment that we are, in a way that we are,” said Gallagher. “We have created a unique exciting experience for our guests.”

That experience has included presenting a unique cirque type atmosphere within the club while its guests party and dance until the wee hours of the morning.  LAVA’s popularity skyrocketed last fall thanks to social networks  “We noticed  people in LAVA taking photos and shooting short videos, then texting their friends or posting messages on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter,” according to Gallagher. “We found that they were doing this while they are at LAVA and encouraging their friends to join them that night. It’s phenomenal how important this has become to LAVA.”

The cirque atmosphere returns Jan. 22 and happens every Friday and Saturday Night.  Here are a few of the entertainers that regularly perform in LAVA:

Flambeaux

With a mix of New Orleans mystique, Scottish intensity, and pure P-Zazz, Flambeaux is a glamorous fire-wielding, pyrotechnic superstar and 'Master of the Flames.'  With startling concepts and crazy thrills conjured from the flames he calls his ‘little friends,’ Flambeaux focuses and entertains while the crowds party and dance.

The Love Kittens

The Love Kittens, a group of alluring, seductive and talented female artists who theatrically bring a retro, trendy, burlesque-inspired style to their performance, combining eclectic and retro remixed music with alluring vocals and electrifying choreography.

Kenichi

Kenichi Ebina is a solo self-taught dance performer, started out dancing Freestyle HipHop and expanding his style to Poppin’, Lockin’, Mime, House, Jazz, Contemporary and Ethnic dance. Kenichi’s unique dance show is packed with illusion effects of sound, light and visuals.

High Flight

The air work of Chris Galen and Christy Balfanz spinning in choreographed art keeps audiences mesmerized while they perform 30 feet over the dance floor.

LAVA, the Dance Club at Turning Stone is a private, member only club. You must be at least 21 years of age and pay the one-time only initiation fee of $25.00 to join (periodic discounts may apply.)  Plus, additional charges may apply for access to events at Lava.
