Turning Stone Presents Barrage, an Irish Festival Fiddle Fest March 17 - 2/16/10Turning Stone Resort and Casino has a spectacular treat planned for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s Barrage – A high-octane fiddle-fest featuring an international, multi-talented cast performing an eclectic mix of music, song and dance. This talented cast of five violin players, a drummer, guitarist and bass player make up Barrage, an international group of musicians, who have entertained millions of people in Europe, Asia and North America. Barrage features a diverse fusion of cultures, musical styles and incredible performance vitality. They’ve been featured on PBS, CBC, BBC and Disney. Now is your chance to see them live in the Turning Stone Event Center, March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day. Tickets for the 3 p.m. performance are $25. The Barrage performance is part of the resort-wide Irish Festival all day March 17. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Turning Stone will be filled with Irish entertainment; singers and dancers will appear in the Garden and Emerald lobbies, the Rotunda, and in the Leopard Lounge. The Luck of the Irish Prize Patrol will be awarding cash prizes to Diamond Card holders playing Multi-Games and gifts to the people seated to the right and left of the cash winners. There will be green derbies and bead necklaces to add to the festive spirit. Plus, there will be a live broadcast of the popular mid-morning local TV show Bridge Street from WSYR News Channel 9 (Syracuse) at 10 a.m. that is open to the public.
