Seasoned Retail Industry Professional to Head SavOn - 3/8/10
Sean Brown has been named director of the Oneida Nation’s SavOn operations. He will oversee a dozen fuel and convenience stores in the Oneida area, as well as wholesale operations. He has nearly 20 years of experience in retail.
Before joining the Nation, he was general manager for Restaurant Technologies, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. He previously held retail management positions with Lykins Companies, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company that serves as marketer for large oil companies such as CITGO, BP, Exxon Mobil, Marathon Oil and Royal Dutch Shell. He also held a number of convenience store retail marketing and sales development positions with the Shell Oil Company. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in economics and marketing, Brown sharpened his skills with additional business training, including Six Sigma, the Dale Carnegie Course and Cornell University’s Convenience Store Merchandising course. Brown and his wife have two children. In his spare time, he is a youth soccer coach.
