Turning Stone Awarded Three AAA 2010 Four Diamond Ratings - 5/19/10

Three properties at the Oneida Nation’s Turning Stone Resort and Casino have again received the prestigious Four Diamond Rating from the AAA Western and Central New York—The Lodge at Turning Stone, the Tower Hotel and Wildflowers Restaurant. The announcement was made this morning at the 2010 AAA Four Diamond Awards presentation at the New York Wine & Culinary Center in Canandaigua, N.Y. The awards were accepted for the resort by Andrew Lee, vice president of food and beverage, Roxanne Lucenti, director of hotel operations, and John Maly, manager at The Lodge at Turning Stone.

The Lodge at Turning Stone, a boutique hotel with 95 suites bordered by two of the resort’s three championship golf courses, was honored for the fifth year in a row. Attached to The Lodge are Ska:ná, a luxury spa that combines soothing, modern treatments with the centuries-old healing principles of the Oneida Indians, and a fitness center and swimming pool. Also at The Lodge is Wildflowers, a gourmet restaurant with a focus on seasonality, which is receiving the coveted Four Diamond ranking for the fourth time. The Lodge was recently honored with the “Most Excellent Golf Resort” in the U.S. and Canada from Condé Nast Johansens.

The Tower Hotel at Turning Stone, a 19-story structure with 285-rooms and a stunning scenic view of the rolling hills of Central New York, is receiving the Four Diamond honor for the fourth time.

In addition to these three properties, Turning Stone has world class gaming, two entertainment venues that collectively feature more than 100 national performers a year, three of the top championship golf courses in the country designed by three of the top golf architects (Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Rick Smith), two nine hole courses and an indoor golf training center, an indoor complex for tennis and racquetball, two additional hotels and an award winning RV park, a Vegas-style dance club, more than 15 dining options, 100,000 square feet of meeting space, and its own PGA TOUR event—the Turning Stone Resort Championship. The resort is located in beautiful Upstate New York--30 miles east of Syracuse, N.Y. and just off NYS Thruway Exit 33 in Verona.
