Oneida Nation Announces Executive Appointments - 7/1/10Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and CEO of Nation Enterprises, announced two executive appointments effective July 1, 2010. Frank Riolo is now Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turning Stone Resort Casino, LLC. In that capacity, he will serve as advisor on overall business strategies, manage various special projects and provide counsel on particular matters relating to Turning Stone. Pete Carmen is promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the Nation and each of its enterprises, including Oneida Nation Enterprises, LLC and Turning Stone Resort Casino, LLC. In that role, he will oversee daily operations and administration for the Nation and all of the Nation’s businesses. Riolo previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Oneida Nation’s gaming, hospitality and entertainment group. He helped open Turning Stone Casino in 1993 as vice president of casino operations. He began his nearly 40-year career in the gaming industry as a dealer at the Four Queens hotel and casino in Las Vegas following a four year stint in the U.S. Navy. Riolo later worked at the Las Vegas Hilton and the Golden Nugget and then became vice president and general manager of the Primadonna Corporation, which operated two casinos in Nevada. Carmen previously was senior vice president of Oneida Nation Enterprises, LLC and, its businesses, including Turning Stone Resort Casino, LLC, where he also served as general manager. Before becoming senior vice president, he was general counsel and chief legal officer for the Oneida Nation. Carmen graduated with honors from Brandeis University in 1988 and the Syracuse University College of Law in 1991, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Syracuse Law Review and Order of the Coif. He served a judicial clerkship with Chief Judge Neal P. McCurn of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, and then joined the law firm Mackenzie Hughes LLP, where he was a partner and a member of the firm’s executive committee.
