Turning Stone Earns Four Wine Spectator AwardsMagazine Recognizes Quality Wine Lists Related to Cuisine
Wine Spectator Magazine chose four Turning Stone Resort Casino restaurants to receive its 2012 Award of Excellence. They include Wildflowers, a AAA Four Diamond fine dining experience, Pino Bianco Trattoria, Rodizio Churrascaria, and the Forest Grill steakhouse at Turning Stone.
The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recognizes a wine list of 100 or more quality wine selections that thematically match a restaurant’s cuisine. For example, one of Central New York’s favorite dishes, Vodka Riggies, pairs well with a Chianti Classico available at Pino Bianco. Rodizio features wines from California, Chile, Argentina, and Australia to pair with the various spices used to marinate the meats served in the churrascaria. Turning Stone Resort Casino Director of Food and Beverage Vince Farrar said, “Turning Stone consistently offers what our guests expect from a world-class destination resort. We take pride in the Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence for Wildflowers, Pino Bianco, Rodizio, and Forest Grill. Our wine selection runs the gamut from international to domestic vintages including wines from the New York Finger Lakes region’s Dr. Konstantin Frank, Hermann Wiemer, Lamoreaux Landing, Bully Hill, and Hazlitt Vineyards.” The complete list of 3,795 international Wine Spectator award winners is featured in the August 31st issue, now on newsstands. All of the restaurants can be found in WineSpectator.com’s Restaurant Search, along with details about their wine selection, cuisine, prices, and key staff.
