Turning Stone’s Pastry Team Builds Gingerbread Village - 11/30/11

Visitors to the Oneida Nation’s Turning Stone Resort Casino have a chance to see what is likely the biggest gingerbread village in the Northeast. The eight buildings of this year’s gingerbread village measure about 53 feet long and are made up of 13,000 individual pieces of gingerbread. This holiday delight, with a new archway entrance, is now ready for viewing and will remain on display through the holidays.

Executive Pastry Chef Jennifer Di Giorgio, Assistant Pastry Chef Megan Brown, and the bakers at Turning Stone Resort Casino began baking for this year’s village in the summer. The public can visit this year’s masterpiece anytime, day or night, in the Garden Lobby near Opals II. Cameras are welcome.
