In honor of The Lodge earning the Forbes Four Star Award, Turning Stone’s luxury hotel will offer an exclusive four-star twist on a classic cocktail and an award-themed turndown service.

Turning Stone Resort Casino is celebrating an accolade-filled start to 2016. In honor of The Lodge earning the Forbes Four Star Award from Forbes Travel Guide, the global authority on luxury travel, Turning Stone today hosted a special recognition ceremony to honor employees of the resort’s elegant Adirondack-style, all-suite hotel. At the recognition ceremony, Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter commended employees for their dedication to creating an unparalleled and memorable guest experience, which accounts for 70 percent of the Forbes Four Star Award rating.

Halbritter said, “Through our experience, we know the reasons our guests visit and plan return trips isn’t just because this is a beautiful property; they come back because of our employees. It’s our employees and their unwavering dedication to our guests that is recognized by this Forbes award.”

During the celebratory event at The Lodge, Halbritter also unveiled an impressive Forbes award-themed ice sculpture created by Turning Stone’s Executive Specialty Chef Wei-Sen Liang. The Lodge at Turning Stone is the only property in Central New York to earn a Forbes Four-Star Rating, and is touted for its serene environment and world-class guest experience, which includes its award-winning Wildflowers restaurant and the luxurious Ska:na spa.

The recognition ceremony also kicked off the beginning of two new Forbes award-themed amenities offered at The Lodge – a specialty cocktail and a delicious addition to its iconic turndown service.

The “French 75 Wildflowers,” the specialty cocktail created specifically to celebrate the Forbes Four Star Award-winning experience at The Lodge, is a fresh twist on the classic French 75. A fruity and bright mixture of cognac, pear puree and lime juice, topped with Prosecco, the “French 75 Wildflowers” is served in a champagne flute and is only available at The Lodge Lounge and Wildflowers restaurant. The “French 75 Wildflowers” is meant to convey elegance and the bright future that awaits these star-rated venues.

Guests staying in The Lodge can also enjoy an exclusive Forbes Four Star themed turndown service, which includes two chocolate-dipped shortbread cookies with the Forbes Four Star Award insignia and a special award-themed note.

To determine the Star Award winners, Forbes Travel Guide has a team of expert inspectors who anonymously evaluate properties around the world and measure against more than 800 rigorous and objective standards, providing guests the insight to make informed travel and leisure decisions.
