Program calendar
Monthly program activities include craft and painting classes, intergenerational activities and cultural and educational trips. This past year, the Elder’s Program was able to provide opportunities for off-site trips, with more than 55 excursions taking place throughout the year. Several local trips included stops at the Bingo Hall at Turning Stone, The Cove at Sylvan Beach, the Regional Market in Syracuse and other local markets.
Special events throughout the year bring Elder’s Program participants together. A Bar-B-Que hosted by the Oneida Indian Nation Police Department is one of the more popular annual events. The event provides a great opportunity for the police department to support its community policing fundamentals and interact with the Nation’s most cherished generation.
