The weather couldn’t have been better at the 25th annual Nation Member picnic. Members and their guests enjoyed several summertime activities, including swimming at the Peaceful Pines pool, a water balloon toss, a petting zoo and giant inflatable games for the kids, and a huge spread for lunch hot off the grill.

Everyone soaked in the sun and visited with friends and family. Many kids participated in the hula hoop contest while some of the adults played a few games of bingo under the tent. The pool remained the popular hangout spot on the warm sunny day. Attendees also received a commemorative 25th anniversary t-shirt when they arrived and Members were given a special notebook inscribed with the 25th logo. Members of the Oneida Indian Nation Council handed out the notebooks and engaged with Members. Haudenosaunee dancers also displayed their skills in the afternoon to an enthusiastic audience.

The picnic is one of the many community-building events the Nation provides for Members each year. It was a great time to enjoy the outdoors and sunshine. Thank you to everyone that attended!
