The Oneida Indian Nation will host the 17th annual “Aging Well: Think Positive, Live Positive” Elders Conference for American Indians and their caregivers on May 25 and 26 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Conference Center.

The conference workshops will offer a diverse range of topics for participants, from learning how to clear the clutter from minds and homes, to using positive thinking to overcome health issues.

Keynote speakers include Dr. Darryl Tonemah, who will present on how to actively refire and rewire brains for empowerment and better health; Ken Parker, who will discuss using native plants and gardening to promote positive thinking; and Dr. Benson Kelly, who will tout the health benefits of thinking positive.

The conference will also feature a diabetes walk and talk, Elders panel, healthy cooking demonstration and social dancing with the Kontiwennenhawi: Akwesasne Women Singers.
