Ahead of The Cove at Sylvan Beach’s grand opening next month, its flagship store Sylvan Beach Supply Co., will open to the public on Friday, May 27. Sylvan Beach Supply Co. will offer a wide selection of lake activity rentals that includes pontoon, fishing, ski, jet, and deck boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, and fishing gear. The store located within Upstate New York’s newest lakeside vacation destination also features a café with a menu of burgers, gourmet sandwiches, pastries, Instagramable ice cream sundaes, and an expansive candy wall loaded with a literal ton of candy.

Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (May 25, 2022) – Turning Stone Enterprises today announced that The Cove at Sylvan Beach’s flagship store and café, Sylvan Beach Supply Co., will open to the public on Friday, May 27, ahead of The Cove’s grand opening next month.

With a huge selection of lake activity rentals that include pontoon, fishing, ski, jet, and deck boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, and fishing gear, a delicious menu with incredible ice cream offerings, and everything needed to enjoy summertime in Upstate New York, there is no destination like The Cove’s Sylvan Beach Supply Co. on Oneida Lake, or in the region. The new vacation rental community and its flagship store will meet the same award-winning standards found across Turning Stone Enterprises’ properties and deliver the one-of-a-kind guest experience the Oneida Indian Nation has become known for.

Lake Activity Rentals

As The Cove’s flagship store, Sylvan Beach Supply Co. will offer a wide variety of rentals for guests to explore Oneida Lake, New York’s largest lake. Rentals available for both day visitors and overnight guests staying at The Cove include:

  • Pontoon, deck, ski, jet and fishing boats
  • Kayaks
  • Canoes
  • Paddle boards
  • Water bikes
  • Bicycles
  • Fishing equipment
  • Water skis
  • Tubes

Sylvan Beach Supply Co. Café

Guests can pull their boats up and dock right in front of Sylvan Beach Supply Co., and grab a sundae, ice cream cone, or burger from the store’s café. The menu is also packed with sandwiches, snacks and a variety of incredible ice cream options, including the most elaborate ice cream sundaes: Breezy Berry Cobbler, SOS Mint, Campfire and more. The café also offers a selection of milkshakes:

  • Classic flavors: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry
  • Frozen hot chocolate
  • Cherry cheesecake
  • Crème brûlée

With both indoor and outdoor seating, guests are invited to dock their boats at Sylvan Beach Supply Co. There are several boat slips for guests to dock.

The Candy Wall

Sylvan Beach Supply Co. is also home to one of the largest candy walls in Upstate New York with a literal TON (2,000 pounds) of candy, including nearly 80 different varieties. With chocolate, peanut butter, taffy, hard candies, and fourteen flavors of jelly beans, the candy wall is the perfect place for kids of all ages to satisfy their sweet tooth this summer – and a great photo opportunity.

When The Cove opens next month, it will welcome guests with 70 modern two- and three-bedroom cottages. The new $35 million lakeside vacation rental destination will showcase the best of Upstate New York with beautifully appointed accommodations featuring full eat-in kitchens, gas grills, fire pits, and other amenities. Each weeklong cottage rental at The Cove also includes a pontoon boat and dedicated boat slip, so guests can enjoy fishing, water sports, and cruising on Oneida Lake.
